Phenolic content, antioxidant potentials of Saponaria prostrata endemic plant

Saponaria prostrata (S. prostrata) is an endemic and medicinal plant that contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, phenolic compounds, fatty acids, triterpenoids. This study was carried out to evaluate the antioxidant potentials, composition of S. prostrata. Antioxidant properties ethanol water extracts were evaluated by three different in vitro bioanalytical methods including CUPRAC FRAP reducing DPPH radical scavenging method. Effective potentials found especially Rutin (36.3 µg/g extract) hesperidin (32.7 characterized major compounds using advanced HPLC technique.
